An empath or what?

My limp body consuming a
shadowy nook, and the darkness
within


me threatening the white light, Sun
moans over the reflections of
freshly


baked dreams in my promising eyes,
that are chased by headless human
figures.


Black mirror on my bathroom wall
never listens to white lies but
demands


truth. Tears in my eyes questions few
fake faces who first rejoice, then
console.


Murder at midnight ,rebirth at
sunrise. Still alive! I wonder
how? Why?

I somehow survive everytime,
two shades of gray on my face , when
one cries


I hear another’s laugh. I’m an
empath running down street with a
grilled smile.

This poetry form is written in the first person revealing accidental yet seemingly synchronized events. As a poetry form, this consists of eight three-line stanzas in a syllable pattern of 8/8/2. This poetry type has no rhyme and is written in the first person with a twist. The twist is to be revealed within the last two stanzas.

    • Well..grilled smile is an emotion and a really long saga to me, of hiding pain and sadness behind a smile. I have a grilled smile for some reasons though and I can’t help but smile with tears in eyes and pain in heart.
